Cramps! Walked lots the second half.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

19 minutes slower than last year. Failure to train + illnesses leading up to the race = bad performance.

Event comments:

I've raced 6 of the 7 Hy-Vee Triathlons. The changes made this year (finish line less impressive, pros race move in location and time, lesser expo, lesser finish area) removed some of the luster of the race. When compared to other local triathlons, it still shines, of course. Once again, cannot say enough good things about the wonderful volunteers.
