Scotch tape will remove it. Just put tape on over tat and pull tape off.

Strange. I scrubbed with rubbing alcohol till my sin was red and raw and just a few pieces had come off. I was not willing to bleed for temporary tattoos.
Maybe mine were defective

Body marking is possibly my favorite part of triathlon. I love tritats and think body marking should always error on the side of excessive.

I volunteered at a local sprint this weekend and having the tri tats would have made my job MUCH easier. I was trying to see the schmeered numbers to call out to the announcer, and then later to identify them as they carried out their bikes and some were clear and some were very difficult to read.

As for removing them, I used a lotion with shea butter and with a bit of elbow grease it came off. No more/less work than getting the sharpie off my calf.

Haven't had the tri tats yet, but I don't think they are overkill and I can see many benefits to using them. Transition security, saving time before the race. At a local sprint here they use sharpies, there are tons of people who you can't tell if they were marked or not by the end of the race. Between sunscreen, wetsuits, the lake, the numbers don't last long on some people.

Maybe there are different grades of rubbing alcohol? I didn't have to scrub THAT hard. I didn't just use a small dab either, I got the cloth fairly damp with the Alcohol first. I'll check the bottle and report back.

If the RD picks up the added expense, I think it is a cool idea. I have made the mistake of letting my wife put them on me after a couple of glasses of wine, and she has succeeded in screwing them up twice. The second time was after assuring me she had it right.

Everyone who complains about them secretly like them it lets everyone know that they are triathletes.

Walgreens Isopropyl Alcohol, 91% by volume. Not sure if all rubbing alcohols are the same.
