Subject: Lakeside - Try-a-tri - Sept 15th
Doing my first race this coming weekend at Lakeside (http://www.multisportcanada.com/lakeside/). Kind of nervous about it all but I know I can do the distances.

I've got a friend who does Ironman's that been helping out. I forgot how much I liked biking, etc. Just hope I get my bike back in time, had to take it in since the seat post broke.


Just got to remember to breath, relax, take it all in and enjoy it!

You picked a great place for a first tri. Its one of my favorite venues, and I've done 6 or 7 triathlons there over the years. The pre-race jitters are normal. Good luck and let people know how your first race went!

I couldn't believe that my splits kept getting lower! I started to run harder after I passed the "5 km" sign and picked a few people that I wanted to pass.
