Thanks!  I will put together a race report at some time, but in short:  Good swim and bike.  Good run for the first 6.5 miles, then realized I went out too fast on the start of the run and had to compensate for the second half of the run.  Still happy to have competed and will build on this for the off-season.  Top 1/3 overall.  Top 40% in men.  Top 50% in age group (tells you about the 40-44 age group.

Top 3% overall on the swim and beat 6 pros.  Cool

Looking forward to the offseason and continue to improve my run.

PAIN!!!!!  Wink  I want to get some additional half and full marathons under my belt with training that focuses on disciplined pacing.  I was not as disciplined on my race paces per mile as I wanted to be.  I need to be able to back off the pace when needed, and push the pace when called for.  Doing targeted workout to achieve this should help.  But upping the mileage never hurts as long as there is enough speed work mixed in for the shorter events.

Actually, that is me in the dead center of that photograph.  I wasn't giving that spot up for anyone.

I found a sprint, the Lake Las Vegas Triathlon, that was happening four months down the road and signed myself up; much to the surprise of friends and family.
