Who is in? I am. Used to really enjoy this race when it was the PDR, was very unhappy when RnR took it over. Only doing it because it lines up with my marathon training plan.

Wanted to do it this year but it's the same day as AC tri.  Have a good run.

I'm doing it with my brother and a few of my kids. I'm not a huge fan but, like you, it also fits into my November marathon plan.

I'll be there... on my bike! Course Marshall, hopefully leading Stanley Biwott to a US record. 13mph on a bike is no big deal, but on legs? Sub-59 minutes for 13.1 miles? Crazy!

Good luck everyone!

Say hi if you see me. I'll be on a red Cervelo R3. I plan on finishing in around an hour

On a different note, Competitor Group is really ruining this race. I miss it being the PDR.

So how did you all do? It could not have been a better day for the race. I had a complete blast, wound up guiding Stanley Biwott from when he broke out right up to the finish line. You can see me in the video, I pulled off just as he broke the tape. It was an awesome experience getting to watch him run, he's so fast and smooth.

I hit my expected finish time of 1:45, but it hurt. I went out too fast and barely hung on.

I miss the PDR too Brian. Very cool that you got to lead out the winner like that. I saw a couple of guys on tri bikes in the morning but not a red Cervelo

I was on my road bike with Boyd carbon wheels. My buddy Tim was on his P3 with the Zipps. I was making fun of him until I saw that everyone had their race wheels. I think we needed them, those Kenyans are crazy fast.

Glad you had a good finish. Yes, PDR had a totally different vibe.

Saw a guy on a TT that I want to say was black and white. What stuck out to me was his Ironman kit. Seemed a bit much, lol

That's Tim! He only owns race clothing. We all kid him about it.

I ran the Philly RnR half. I miss the old days when it was $40 to register and called the Philadelphia Distance Run! I really don't even enjoy the bands on the course that much, and definitely not enough to spend $95 to run. The free beer at the finish is nice, though, and I managed to get a few extra tickets from some folks who weren't drinking. I did it in 1:49:16, missed a PR by 7 seconds!

I'm also new to the forum! Just completed my first HIM in New Hampshire (Timberman), and live just outside Philly in Springfield (Delco).

Steady is our walk. Ignoring the pain that is radiating from my feet, I continue to place one foot in front of the other. Again I wonder, “Why am I doing this?”

This program should be used for an athlete whose goal is to run a marathon in the 1:30-2:30 range and has a good running base in the past 8-12 weeks.

I will assume you have not run consistently more than 6 miles and have never completed a half-marathon. I believe running your first half-marathon is a big task which requires dedication and work.

My training was taking off. I had never felt stronger. I was making bigger strides than I ever had. I was stronger and faster than I had imagined myself ever being.
