LOL, I remember one season the contestants toward the end got to train the trainers and they put her on the treadmill and she was struggling. She said she's not a runner but apparently she's not a biker or a swimmer either.

I think she's more of a "body pump" training class type of athlete rather than a real athlete

Bob is a good runner so I'd be interested to see him compete in something like this.

It's pretty sad when a former contestant does better than the trainer in Tara

It sort of sounds like she just showed up that day - probably for charity or something.  Never tried on a wetsuit before the race?  Never had a GU?  Didn't know how to take care of a bike?

There is a difference between a couple hundred meters in the pool, or 30 minutes of running or biking and racing in those disciplines.

Same thing happens in volleyball.  Lots of people say "I'm good at volleyball" because in gym class they were the only ones that could spike or they reign at the family reunion.  Then they get out with the big boys and realize it's a whole different world.

haha, that was me with ping pong.  Nobody could beat me at family get togethers.  People trembled in fear at the thought of playing me...

Then I actually played somebody who knew how to play...  haha, I couldn't score a single point.

I just showed this to my wife.  She's a huge BL fan and had me go look up her finish times.
I think it made my wife's day to realize she would have likely beat her in that race.

I was thinking the same thing.  I like Jillian, she's a hard a$$ and that can be a great quality in a trainer.  She may be cashing in commercially but she's helped many people.

Please, come to my 75 min Total Conditioning class, let me kick your butt, and then tell me I'm not a "real athlete" because you can beat me in swimming, biking and/or running.  I've beaten down quite a few IM triathletes in class and I'll do it again Laughing

I don't want to be buzz killington, but what was her run split? If it was fast, the triathlon didn't own her. You haven't been owned by a triathlon unless you do at least 4km of run-walk because you're about to die.
