MY SMITH PIVILOCK GLASSES FELL OUT OF MY CYCLING JERSEY YESTERDAY. THE GREAT THING ABOUT THESE GLASSES WERE THE FRAMELESS SET UP MADE THEM GREAT TO USE ON THE TRI BIKE - NO OBSTRUCTION OF VISION. HOWEVER, THEY WERE UGLY AS @#!!. ANYONE HAVE OTHER FAVORITE SUNGLASSES THAT ALLOW AN UNOBSTRUCTIVE VIEW ON THERE TRI BIKE IN AERO?? THANKS FOR ANY RESPONSE

I'm a fan of the built-in visor on the helmet. Otherwise, I haven't really found a good pair of frameless glasses.

I bought some frameless Tufosi glasses from Performance that have been the glasses I've been looking for since I started triathlon! Came with multiple lenses. Another plus, they are affordable! http://www.performancebike.com/bikes/Product_10052_10551_1129077_-1...

I have a pair of Oakley Racing Jackets that I love. You can get them customized too so you can match any colors you want with your bike/race kit if you want. A little expensive but worth it. Other riders have also said they like them because of the high visibility line. Plus, the lenses are amazing. If you are out on your bike and a rock gets kicked up at you it won't shatter your lens.

You can also swap out different lenses if you want depending on weather conditions, sun, style, look etc.

If you don't have a weird head or face and plenty of cash, any of the Oakley frameless models will do. (Usually in the $3XX range)

Maui Jim also makes a frameless model that's slightly less (in the $250 range). They fit my narrow head (most glasses are too wide and slip off) with long eyelashes (extremely irritating to have your eyes scrunch up the glass for 180km).

Cheapest have been the Tifosi, at well under $100. They're a little too wide for my head, but if I wear a sweatband and put the earpieces over that and the helmet straps, they're okay and my eyelashes don't scratch the lenses up.

Rudy Project KarbonEye with Impactx photochromatic lens. The best glasses I've ever used for TT's. Frameless, superlight and the Impactx lens is just amazingly good.

I use the same glasses. While they are ugly, I am wearing them when I am decked out in brightly colored spandex. I obviously don't care how I look when I am biking. Plus they fit snugly in the vents of my helmet when the sun goes down.

I just have a separate pair of sunglasses to wear when I am out in the sun wearing normal clothes.

I've got a very aggressive aero position, so it was a problem for me to find some shades that didn't obstruct vision at the top of the frame... I also don't like frameless glasses (although they work great... just a personal thing)

The best I've ever used in order
- Oakley Radar XL (<--- XL's are made FOR triathletes)
- Oakley Factory Pilots (the old 80's frames like Lemond wore)
- Oakley M Frames

Rudy Also makes some good choices (the Noize were really good) and the Tifosi's I had were acceptable...

I recently switched to Optic Nerve Respone 2.0 glasses after years of racing in Oakley Half Jackets.
I couldn't be happier - the Response 2.0 only costs $50, the lenses are photochromatic (darken / lighten depending on level of sunlight) and they are well vented so they don't steam up.

I reordered the smiths. however, I found a knock off of the Oakley racing jackets for 15.00 on ebay to try. I think the bottom line is for function they have to be frameless and frameless just aint cool. Plus the smith clear lens works great for 4 wheeler rides at night to deflect the southeastern bugs. thanks for all the input everyone.

Kind of my feeling on the subject as well. Or you could go the Jesse Thomas route and get a pair of gas station aviators.
