Swim
  • 28m 59s
  • 2112 yards
  • 01m 22s / 100 yards
Comments:

Pretty good swim - got out towards the buoys to avoid the rush of swimmers closer to the shore.
Transition 1
  • 03m 34s
Comments:

Race had wetsuit strippers so the wetsuit came off very easily.
Bike
  • 2h 48m 49s
  • 56 miles
  • 19.90 mile/hr
Comments:

Had a really good bike but lost my rear bottle cage and a bottle about 19 miles in. Had to throw my second bottle at the second aid station to get more water.
What would you do differently?:

Check the security of my bottle cages before the race.
Transition 2
  • 03m 6s
Comments:

Good Transition.
Run
  • 1h 44m 44s
  • 13.1 miles

Comments:

Great run - good pacing through the first half and was able to speed up a little in the last mile.
Post race
Warm down:

Waited for Brad at finish line, walked to find family.

Event comments:

Love this course - Beat my time from 2010 by 19 minutes. Very happy with the results.

Some mistakes I made during the Hawaii Ironman 70.3. Don't be caught out on the course not knowing how or not having the equipment to change a flat tire.
