Ok, from reading various postings around the web I think I have figured out that the Garmin 305 will pick up ANT+ signal. I have had a Garmin 305 for 5 years and just love it, but never knew it used ANT+ technology. I think I have also figured out you can pair it to the Bontrager DuoTrap Sensor (for my new Trek).

Can anyone verify this is correct before I purchase a Bontrager DuoTrap sensor?

Thanks!

Well, no... The Edge 305 and the Forerunner 305 used an older Ant protocol, so it won't be compatible with the newer protocol. You can still use the Garmin cadence sensor though if you want that on your bike.... or you can upgrade your Garmin to a 310XT or a 910XT and you're good to go with the Duotrap

My DuoTrap worked just fine with my 305 up to the point it died.  Have you had issues with pairing with a 305?

Excellent news, it does work then. I believe I saw a post on Garmin that said to make sure your 305 has the latest firmware update. I will add the DuoTrap to my Christmas Wish List.

I have Bontrager Race Lite wheels. I was looking into renting Zipp 303's or 404's for race day for Ironman Lake Placid. What time will I save?

I got a new pair of the same size / brand of shoes and started running on them. On my left foot, the toe next to the big toe starts to get a little painful and goes numb after the first 1-3 miles.
