I did a quick search for this but didn't see anything else here. Anyone else want to venture a guess?

I'm going:

1. Sebastian Kienle - 8:20
2. Craig Alexander - 8:22
3. Andreas Raelert - 8:25

1. Mirinda Carfrae - 9:12
2. Leanda Cave - 9:13
3. Mary Beth Ellis - 9:18

Just have a good feeling about Kienle, and I think Rinny being back with Siri Lindley will be a big improvement for her. She had a chance last year, but that dropped nutrition bottle seemed to cost her big. Cave seemed like she might not have been beaten regardless, though. Can't wait to watch!

Chef Gordon Ramsay is going to shock the world with an overall win!

He'll also be sure to thank the volunteers on the run (in his special way...).

Hines Ward will kick Ramsay's a**.  Maybe literally if Ramsay tries to draft off of him...

I just really want Raelert to win. He deserves it after being so close so many times. I love that guy

I too love Ralert and hope he gets the win. I just feel that sometimes he runs to perfect of a race and needs just an inch more of reckless abandon to bring home the title.

I'm saying Kienle will win it all. The pros hated on him in the polls for 70.3 and he proved them wrong. I think with no flat tire this year he is going to bring it on home.

Crowie 8:15

Carfrae: 9:10

Your list looks solid I'm just hoping Crowie can pull it off one more time.

I would also love to see him pull it off one more time. Didn't have a great race last year, but I am hoping he comes out with the lead pack in the swim and stays close to the front of the bike. We know he is dangerous in the run...just need to be in position to take a shot at it.

I think this is Caroline Steffen's year, though I do think that if either Steffen or Carfrae are going to win it, this is the year or it may never happen. Would love to see Mary Beth Ellis give it a good go, but with her injuries, that is going to be tough I think. Would be a heroic performance. I'll be pulling for Linsey Corbin, since she seems so cool.

Men's side looks really wide open. I'll go Pete Jacobs. Though Kienle, Van Lierde, Raelert, Crowie, and maybe even Faris could figure in the top of the mix. I'm interested to see what Andy Potts can do. He's on a good season, and has been building. Could he pull a top 5?

I would love to see one of the less heralded men or women make a big impression. Should be fun.

I'd love to see Andy Potts do well there, I just don't see it. I think the only American with a chance is Tim O'Donnell. However, just my opinion...this race is *way* too hard to predict!

Pete Jacobs is so hard to beat. All of those athletes are just amazing and you can't count any of them out.

Would like to have seen Kelly Williamson out there too.

What a great race! Getting excited!

No love on BT for Eneko Llanos?

I want to see Starky and Kienlie get together on the bike and make it hard hard hard

My super outsider/darkhorse is James Cunnama, but that is just a patriotic thing.

Men:

Andy Raelert
Sebastian Kienle
Pete Jacobs

Dark Horse: Eneko Llanos

Women:

Caroline Steffen
Rinny
Rachel Joyce

Dark Horse: Mary Beth Ellis (I would have her winning if it wasn't for the injury)

Predicted finish time for Hines Ward: 14:30. Love Hines, but I think that run is going to be really hard for him.

I can't say it enough, the feeling of treading water for that final minute, helicopters over head, Mike Riley's Iron-voice over the P.A. - just awesome. I cannot believe I'm here!

Well the day is finally here. I don't believe a single workout has gone by in these past 9 years where the idea of being at the start line of the Ironman Hawaii didn't creep into my head.

So far the taper is feeling good and I'm getting that itchy feeling to race. I know this will grow even stronger when I get to the island and see my friends and PBN Team members.
