Subject: I need new tires, any suggestions?
Good day folks.

I've been on my tires for a few seasons now and I have seen some sidewall cracking that I don't like and the guy at my LBS said I am beginning to develop a flat spot. So.... I am looking to replace my tires in the off season. I ride a Trek Speed Concept and have the stock Bontrager R1 Plus tires on my rims. I am a 700 x 23 size tire and would love your suggestions!

Thanks.

H.J.

Continental GP 4000s
Conti GP Attack/Force combo

I like Vredestein Tri-comps because of the higher thread count and high psi you can run them at. Important if you're a heavier ripper like me.

If you just want performance and don't care about durability, the Vittioria evo are suoer performance, but they'll last for weeks before you need to replace them.

Avoid Kenda and Hutchinson.

Since we're heading into winter, I'd go with a Continental Gatorskin or a Continental GP 4000 4-Season. Wait until April or May to switch to race tires.

x2 on the Continental 4000. Great tire overall and it is all that I use. Especially for race day

I just recently jumped on the gp4000s bandwagon coupled with bontrager xxx latex tubes, but maybe for race day only. I had used Michelin pro series tires, I was stubborn, it took a long time for the change over.

The Contis are popular. I'd add the Michelin Pro4 as a good alternative.

Jumping in late and I admit I'm a newbie, but ...

I love my Schwable Ultremo ZX tires. They are the easiest tire I've ever had to install on my aero rims. I've had excellent success so far (they were recommended to me by my LBS)
