Subject: Listing of Birmingham 10k's/road races?

Can someone point me to a listing of 10k's and 5k's that might be happening over the fall and winter? Looking for one this weekend and then a couple to do with the family throughout the cool season.

Active.com used to be the 'go to' places but it really is relatively useless now as it is impossible to get a list!

Not Birmingham, but Liz Hurley is going on in Huntsville this weekend. Besides Cotton Row, it's the biggest 5K in Huntsville area.

On the left click on, "Other Races(Non HTC)" Pretty good listing of area races.

Awesome, thanks.

I was looking for a 10k in order to do a HR field test and ended up doing the field test at Veterans Park, which ended up being 2 1/2 loops as the trail appears to only be 2.65 in diameter. Like the trail - especially the parts in the woods - but that one incline leading up to the brick house ...yoowsa.

Still sore.

Are there some other places aside from Veterans Park and Oak Mountain to do trail runs? I live in Liberty Park so proximity would be key ...was thinking that there was something around 280 and the Cahaba River?

It has been a bucket list item for years...something to do before I'm 25. Okay, maybe I'll push that to 30. Okay, maybe I'll let it go altogether.

The XTERRA off-road triathlons consist of a lake swim, a mountain bike trail ride, and a trail run. I decided to try the AZ Xtreme Desert XTERRA Tri as my 1st off-road triathlon, and my 3rd tri ever.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve had weight issues. I remember standing on the scale as a child weighing 60 pounds and feeling fat. My family dealt with stress by eating.
