I have a couple Spinnervals DVD's and will probably just pick out a good movie for a long spin session. For those that are into watching series maybe give "24" a look. Nothing like some action Jack Bauer to bring you back for the next episode.

I was thinking of re-watching all five seasons of the Wire while on the trainer.

I'm doing that now (well, for the first time ) on the treadmill !

Interesting how a thread about favorite trainer workouts has morphed into favorite shows to watch. That's nice and all, but what is everyone actually doing? Hopefully more than just riding along?

Sigh.........doing the Computrainer thing - "McBiking". Sterile, bland cookie cutter cycling with no adventure at all. But hey, ya' gotta' do it in order to ensure rump toughness.

But, Winter also means breaking out the skins and Randonee' ski gear and earning turns! Bagging 4000-8000 vertical feet per day. That ensures you're in shape. Ditto for Winter Mountaineering/Winter Backpacking.

I went into the pool area (as this was a pool swim) and got body marked. That's when it hit me that I was there to race - this was not a clinic.

So which one is best for you? It boils down to the aforementioned questions only you can answer and, ultimately, to what extent you will use it as a tool for winter cycling fitness.

Many of us do not enjoy the ‘pleasures’ of training on a stationery trainer. “Boring”, ”mind-numbing”, “a drag” are three phrases often associated with indoor trainers.
