Well who's in?

The last one of the year for me.

I can't remember the last time I did this race if they allowed us to swim saturday at the motel or not. Any info on this would be great.

I'm in.  Can't pass up a chance to race this bike course when it's not 95 degrees out.

Third time is hopefully a charm for me. Second was 15 minutes faster than my first, and I am hoping to drop another 15 this year

I plan on racing next year. I have done it twice in the past, but this year I am helping get the volunteers for the kayaks.

I know it is never safe to swim alone, but I can not see why the swim would be closed on Saturday of the race. It is on hotel land and public water. The start is on the beach behind the hotel and ends at the boat ramp. Once you get out of the harbor and swimming parallel to the land you can almost stand up anywhere until you get to the canal reaching the boat ramp finish. ** once you get close to the boat launch do not start taking your wetsuit off (if legal) until you are on the actual boat ramp. There is a huge hole just before it and you will go under and get soaked before your bike**

damn I mis raceing

FWIW swim was open on Saturday last year.  Even with the torrential downpour.

Any idea on water temp? I'm coming from out of state and have no idea of what's been going on in Conrizzle.

They'll find a way to make this wetsuit legal.

Did this last year, very fun. It was cool in the morning but got pretty warm during the run. A good portion of the bike course is on the IMTX bike course.

I believe you were allowed in the water before the first wave goes off.  All the waves go off in short order so you should be fine.
