Subject: My sister passed away ...

Good morning, BT COJ.

For the past few months I kept in touch with my sister who was dying from some rare form of cancer, and was also diagnosed with having some node(s) on her brain.  I never probed as to the exact name of the cancer, but will find out sometime next week Sunday when I attend the wake.

I found out about her condition back in June regarding how long the issue was going on and what was being done.  The cancer was identified as "not curable" but was supposedly "manageable".  Well, it was "manageable" for a few weeks and then became more aggressive.

Despite what was going on inside her, she retained a fantastic sense of humor and was still trying to laugh and make jokes until near the end.

She showed me strength.  She showed me courage.  She showed me how wrong I was thinking that I was strong.

The cancer took my sister away this past Fri., Oct. 18, 2013, sometime before 4 a.m.  I know I lost a part of my life that I won't get back and will miss her immensely.

In honor of my sister, Tina, please do me a favor and remember to tell your family you love them more than anything in the world, give your friends an extra smile and hug, and do something fun for yourself.

Thanks, BT, for being there when I needed you.

And to make it official - CANCER EFFIN' SUCKS!

I am very sorry for your loss. Your sister sounds like she was an extremely strong and upbeat person, something many can only hope to be. I hope you can find peace during these hard times. My thoughts are with you and your family.

So sorry for your lost.

Spent last night with a family who just lost their dad/husband after a long battle with cancer. So tough.

I think I'll run in my Cuck Fancer shirt tomorrow, in memory of him and your sister.

It breaks my heart each and every time someone loses a loved one to this disease, and you and your sister are no different.  I'm grateful for the time you got to spend with her, and that she shared so much with you in the time that you had together.

Thoughts, hugs and love to you and your family.
