I haven't been on the forums in about two years. My last triathlon was at the beginning of my pregnancy with my now 18 month old daughter. I'm just starting to get back into the swing of things and hope to do a super spring in the spring. I need all the motivation I can get, so I'm back to good ol' BT!

Welcome back! I have to say that it's a lot different training with a kiddo around. My son was born six months before Ironman Coeur d'Alene in 2011, and now he's almost three (eek!), and I've definitely enjoyed rearranging my priorities. But keeping the competitive nature is still near the top! Good luck

welcome back. You can do this. I did my first tri after pregnancy when she was 9 months a sprint. It defintly take some reorganizing your day and making it a priority. And dont think your body will behave like pre pregnancy, learn from my experience that was the longest 750m OWS i have ever done was the first tri back.

Make peace with your speed. A full 85% of the field is done and heading out for brunch by the time my feet hit the finish line.

I may not have pre-pubescent hips or breasts and at 36 that would be ridiculous. I do not need to have an "airbrushed body" and why do I revere that?

A lot of us don’t spend too much time worrying about stretching and strengthening exercises for our lower back.
