Comments:

fast swim. pond was like glass. Probably didnt need a wetsuit but it helps. It was not difficult to navigate and I was aiming at taking the shortest lines. Not bad for only 2 training swims before this race
Transition 1
  • 02m 4s
Comments:

so so. Jogged up a small up hill while trying to get my wetsuit off. I probably could have been faster in T1 but I had to get the sand off my feet and I broke an arm on my sunglasses. Wore sunglasses crooked the rest of the race

Comments:

at this time it was getting hot. A lot of up and down hills. Hard to regulated effort and heart rate. I think I walked about 3 times for 5-8 seconds.

Event comments:

I guess not bad for just recreational not specific training. Sign up to race with about 2 weeks out. Last Race for the season. Weird how swimming has been my most improved leg this year and I barely swam all year

My first triathlon was at age 56. At first I was just the cameraman at my daughter's first triathlon, then I am doing the races that she has done.
