I have signed up for Incredoubleman, a new triathlon weekend in upstate New York, Sept. 13 and 14. The sprint is Saturday and the half is Sunday. Is there a training plan out there for such an endeavor?
Thanks in advance!

I'd train for the half, and take the sprint fairly easy - as a nice little warm-up for the half the next day.

A friend of mine did this last year. She raced the sprint at 90% effort...won

Raced the HIM to her full potential the following day and raced very well.

No problem in taking the swim/bike hard and chilling out on the run in the sprint.

Should be fun....weekend doubles are AWESOME!

My pre-race shakeout on Saturday was basically a sprint distance...
Just think about how hard you want to go.

That was gonna' be my advice.  yeah- train for the Half.  Go pretty hard on the sprint swim and bike, and back off a little on the run.  Keep it under threshold.  90%- and that should leave you reasonably good for the next day.

sounds like a hoot of a weekend.

I was passing others who were saying, "Good job, 587" (that was my race number). People were cheering me on. These were the nicest people I have ever been around!

If you haven’t done any bricks yet, this isn’t the time to start piling them on, but here are some examples you could do in the lead up to your race.

Since your “A” race is your marathon, which you stated in your question, this should be your main focus. I encourage you to taper a bit for the sprint distance triathlon.

Since I didn't have much time and since it's a super sprint, am I OK just go to at the training relatively hard through Thursday or even Friday?
