I **believe** that the race is open to all, and there is no need to qualify to compete in Du Nationals (but I could be wrong). Then the top 18 from each AG (roll down to 25) qualify for Duathlon World Championships. Slightly more than tentatively putting this race on my calendar for next year....with the only caveat being that Heart of the Lakes is the day after.....just need to make a decision between the two, or suck it up and do both  |

Oh, well in that case I have to say the sprint distance (3.25k run, 23k bike, 3.25k run) sounds awfully appealing. I'll keep an eye on this. HOLT will be there next year... I never really understood the draw of this race, other than seeing BT friends. Annandale is so far away! |

You are correct - the national is open to anyone who wishes to register for it (I'm in for the sprint distance). From what I've read, qualifying for worlds is pretty easy since most people decline the invite. Hopefully they release the course info soon - I'm very curious to see exactly where they have the bike loop. |
