Subject: Training plan questions
I am planning on doing the basic winter maintenance plan (20 weeks) as a way to reintroduce my body to multisport. Can someone provide a link that explains the core workouts? In the first week I am supposed to do Core #1. I am familiar with the other strength training exercises listed.

Also, does anyone have a good strength program for dumbbells at home? I can probably adapt most of the upper body exercises pretty easily but I don't have a good substitute for squats, leg curls, and leg extensions.

Go to 'training plans --> Using your training plan --> Strength and core.

Or directly

Thanks so much. I knew I had seen it before but lost track of it.

Using a high-volume schedule for many months is not the best tactic. Build speed and skill several months out, and then transition to a high-volume IM plan.

This plan is designed to make you go faster. 3 workouts per week in each sport, 2 days of strength training and core work. The maximum volume is around 10 hours toward the end of the 12 weeks.

This plan is an advanced plan in terms of volume and intensity and appropriate for someone who is looking to go under 5:00 and as fast as 4:30. There isn’t a lot of fluff in the plan.
