Running back and forth to the bathroom the 6 hours preceeding the race sicker than a dog.

What would you do differently?:

Try not to get so freaking nervous. I can certainly do better.

Nerves and just learning how to swim.

Congrats on at least tri'ing - it'll be easier next time. Thanks for the laugh (although I'm sure it wasn't funny for you) on your "event warm-up". Entertaining report - sounds like you have a good perspective. Good luck!

Addicted -- welcome to the Triathlon Anonymous -- with the rest of us.
