Pre-race routine:

Woke up about 5, ate a cliff bar and got dressed. My 1 year old gave me some weird stomach bug the day before, but I took a couple imodiums and I was ok. Nervous, but ok.
Event warmup:

Dropped may bag at 6:40 and ate a banana. Walked to corral 4 at 6:50.

Comments:

I was nervous because of the stomach thing, and this was my first full marathon. Left my garmin in the car like an idiot, but it really wasn't that big of a deal. I found some people running the same pace and stayed with them. I felt good until about mile 21, then I got tired. Started feeling a little dehydrated about mile 23, then a little crampy on mile 24. The last one was a bit of a death march.
What would you do differently?:

Not get sick the day before
Post race
Warm down:

A friend of mine did the half, so after I got my head together, we headed downtown. We picked up some growlers and then had lunch at B&D burgers.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Inexperience and dehydration.

Event comments:

Great race, it was super fun and everyone I met was very positive. Good first marathon for me.
