IMAZ is this weekend and Phatknot/Slayer is headed off to Tempe to do some racing...anyone else from BT-GA in on the fun?

Let's let everyone from round these parts know we're wishing them luck.

Phat is as prepared for this race as anyone I've ever seen and, no pressure here, I'm predicting a huge day. Raise Hell, buddy. . .

5:05 bike split..that's pretty dang stout. From his T2 split, I'd say he left plenty in the tank for his run.

Go Phat!.

Always honored when you have class folks tracking ya! Thanks everyone. I have a lot of pride in my return to the distance and some self frustration typical of a triathlete.

The butshell version is my swim was 2 min PR but I swallowed a ton of lake and bloated so I didn't drink enough in the hot dessert. My bike was going great and then I got a bogus drafting penalty after pulling a train for 90 miles. 4 mins in tent to gather myself.

My di2 shifters lost power with 50 mi to go so I was stuck in big ring middle cog over working. After the penalty, I made matters worse trying to regain position on a wrong gear. Still a bike PR and easily would've been sub5.

The run was ok for the first "take it easy lap". Then the unshaded cement run undid me for 14-22ish and I walk ran to the best degree I could taking as much fluids as I could stomach. I rallied to get in sub 11 and smashed a water bottle.

No excuses. Solid day but no PR. It showed me I can do better next time but I'm going to hold off until 2015. Thanks again for the inspires and messages!

How does this "My di2 shifters lost power? This is why I have stayed away from di2. Is this normal?

di2 has a green and red light. green solid = full(ish). green blinking means= going low, and red = dead. i checked before and after i left ga and saw green. charged it a month out. then practice rode it twice, and cheked it when i was out there but obviously missed something as they died midway. i think its user error. you just need to top them off before any race or big rides.
