I also have a 2011 SC 7.0 by the way, albeit not the WSD version of course . When you take it to to your LBS, ask them about a fix for the seat post. There were some issues with slippage. Mine slipped multiple inches over the course of one winter as I did a lot of trainer rides. Mark your seat post to keep a reference point! Enjoy!

Looks like they come with SRAM Apex - I know nothing about this stuff though.

Honestly, since it's a WSD model....if I was serious about that bike I'd go to someone who really knows tri bike fits.....if you have one at your LBS then good...but if not, I'd find one. The components in 2010 for the lower end 7 series bikes were all over the place. I'm not sure Rival was an "upgrade" then......not much difference between the two anyway.

My 13 year old rides a WSD Madone......but she is 5'9 with a 35 inch inseam. (yes, really)  I realize that she's on the extreme end of long legs/short torso....but that's what Trek had in mind for WSD.

LB, what the heck are you feeding your children.

Dude....don't get me started......I'm considering padlocks for the fridge and pantry, those suckers will eat anything that's not bolted down.  15 year old son is 6'4", the 13 year old twin daughters are 5'9"......there is no sandwich safe at my house.

Using a high-volume schedule for many months is not the best tactic. Build speed and skill several months out, and then transition to a high-volume IM plan.
