Event warmup:

Pre rode the bike area and pre run about the first mile and that's about it
Swim
  • 09m 39s
  • 500 yards
  • 01m 56s / 100 yards
Comments:

Not bad, still haven't swam much, but overall fitness isn't bad, was a little different jumping the logs in the swim area, but was fun
What would you do differently?:

Keep up with the swimming, even though I am gaining confidence and swimming/racing better, still tons of room to improve!
Transition 1
  • 00m 36s
Comments:

In and out and up to speed quickly
What would you do differently?:

Not much, no wetsuit=no problems!
Bike
  • 34m 6s
  • 12.43 miles
  • 21.87 mile/hr
Comments:

Not bad, but still think I can get better on the bike, forgot to start the Garmin right away
What would you do differently?:

Need to work on milage and pacing, clean up the front of the TT bike (lose the profile drink bottle) and get a BTA bottle
Transition 2
  • 00m 45s
Comments:

A little long, but nothing too bad
What would you do differently?:

Work on the Bike to Run transition more in the off season
Run
  • 20m 9s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 06m 29s  min/mile
Comments:

Felt good, but need to work on my speed workouts (none this year)
What would you do differently?:

Build a better plan with speed workouts instead of just running
Post race
Warm down:

Got some water, talked with Trevor and chatted, got results right away (very cool and in real time!)

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Swim work

Event comments:

OZ Endurance is very good at putting these on, just need a standardized distance, but the real time race results are great, especially with TT swim starts.

My first triathlon was at age 56. At first I was just the cameraman at my daughter's first triathlon, then I am doing the races that she has done.
