Subject: 2013 Holiday Running Challenge
Wanted to post this here to see if there was any traction. If so I can make one over in the challenge forum.

No doubt everyone is busy the next 4 weeks, so this is a quick challenge. Run 1 mile (minimum) per day every day until Jan 1st, 2014. I know a lot of the longer bike rides and swims are out the window right now with family parties and whatnot, so the point of this challenge is just to get your butt out the door, and once you do that there's a good chance you throw a few more miles on there maybe. 1 mile though. That's all. 6 minutes, 8 minutes, 12 minutes, whatever it takes you, that's all it is.

I did a 5 mile race yesterday and went out today with the intent of just 1 mile, but 1 would have ended me in such a weird spot, so I made the loop and it ended up being 3+. Day 1 - Done!

Sound good to me.  I've been trying to up my days per week and just realized I ran the last eight days in a row.  I'd love to keep it going.

I'm in - almost - I need to take three days off in Dec. - they are the days between working 12 hour night shifts, when I just need to sleep the whole day to function the second night.  If I can have preplanned rest days on Dec 5, 14 and 24 I'm in for running every other day until New Years.

I'm in! I finally joined our local run club to motivate myself to get more miles in next year. This would be a great jump on my full marathon training.

The boat was being tossed around. Someone noted that there were whitecaps on the waves. Another guy said, “This is going to be challenging.” I began to wonder what he meant by 'challenging'.

It’s a challenge to push yourself a little harder and a little further. Be proud of every workout that is accomplished and every step-even the baby ones-that you take on this course to the finishline.
