Yes it is possible to gain, that much in a week. I was doing good till a huge 6 lbs of chocolate truffles came in the office. They are the definition of sin.

I agree wholeheartedly about the chocolate truffles. They are a particular weakness of mine.

Way to go, you're going gangbusters! Keep up the good work.

Thanks! Been extremely motivated and determined. Gave the finger to a large bowl of jelly beans and ju-jubes that were left in my office when I came in haha! Actually planning on bringing my own food to Christmas so I'm not stressed about my diet.

Really hoping so. Introducing strength training in the New Year so hopefully it kicks my weight gain into higher.

been iced in for 3 days and outside of cleaning up after the ice storm no activity

I got hit by the flu bug something nasty and spent the last half of December laid up or coughing. As of this morning I was 232.5

I just picked out my first tri of 2014 and have been running riding and swimming again for about a week
http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/Races/link-details.aspx?id=11431&...

I completed my first ever Polar Bear Swim this afternoon
http://mineoathletics.com/open-water-swimming/2014-polar-bear-plung...
47 degree water actually hurt to swim in without a wetsuit (the people with wetsuits where even screaming about the cold about the cold as well)

Thanks I hope I can get back to that steady pattern now that my house is free of holiday food and virus. I want to be under 220 by my first Tri in March

That puts a wrap on this thread for the year, For me personally 2013 was a massive failure, started out in January with an Iron Distance and then business got good and worked way to much for the entire rest of the year.

But 2014 is going to be better, onward and upward peeps!

Only 1.8 pounds up since the day before Thanksgiving.  All in all, I am OK with that.

I'm part of a group that is training for the Wildflower Triathlon Olympic distance on May 4. My current weight on January 24 is 163. My goal race weight is 150. I will weigh in on Wednesdays. Looking forward to the motivation of my fellow triathletes.
