So here we are peeps, I can speak for myself and say 2013 was a rough year but we have one more month to try and drop some pounds.

So who is coming along on the ride?

Monthly goals, weekly weigh ins on Wednesdays, encourage each other.

Starting weight and end of month goal weight is all it takes along with a good attitude so Last Chance for 2013 who is in on probably the hardest month of the year to lose?

I'm in for another month:
Weight on:
Nov 1: 231
Weight on November 27 the day before Thanksgiving was 225
Weight on Saturday November 30th, Saturday after Thanksgiving was 229
Goal weight for the end of December was 219.

The goal is a little aggresive, but the nurse called the day after thanksgiving said triglerceryides was over 300. So we need to get a little serious with the weight loss and diet. Also, training plan for my first Triatlon in May starts on December 1st, so i think we have a shot at 10 pounds for the month.

November Goal weight 215, actual 219.

December starting weight 219.

Goal Weight 215. AGAIN.

Thanksgiving Day was easy, it was the weekend after, I kept screwing up my nutrition and my timing of eating. Then fought something off Sunday, like the Flu. December is going to be about training and getting ready for a trip to Utah to go skiing. Fulfilling a dream of mine.

Anyhow, back at it. I look forward to seeing everyone's progress for this month.

John

Ashamed to post this....   leaving for IM Canada  Aug. 2013  - 183.

This morning....

197.6  F*%(%$*$)@(#@($*)*+!

I need accountability and to make better choices.  Does not help that I am off running for a bit with an injury, but that's no excuse

Goal is sub 190

2013 has been a good year for me, but here's the final stretch to hit my 2013 goal of <150...

Re-starting Team Skinny = 155.8
11/20 - 154.8
11/27 - 153.2

December 2 - 152.8

GOAL by New Years = <150...

I can truly say I do not do this well. I try and try but usually fail in some way or other. I would like to here others strategies to the holidays.

The biggest problem with the holidays are not that I eat badly. IT's that I eat spontaneously. So, yes I eat horribly. Cookies come in, or a Ham or Summer Sausage. Other than stepping up the will power, and sticking to my plan. Does anyone have any tips or tricks they would share?

My whole premise is have a plan stick to a plan.

Not that I am a great example of it, but I try to eat my food when I eat my meals.  I eat every three hours, so more or less 8, 11, 2, 5, 8.  Nothing in between although the time of day can slip a half hour one way or the other depending.

That makes any non meal food a simple matter of choice.  You can even take whatever it is and then eat that during one of the meals.

Make more choices that are in line with your goal than choices that frustrate that goal.

Saying this more for myself than you even

My family knows ahead of time what I'm trying to do with losing weight, so I'm actually pre-preparing myself a healthy alternative to Christmas Dinner. I'm making sure this holiday season doesn't interrupt my plan.

HI everyone I guess I will jump in here.

I started 2013 at around 250+lbs and I have been trying to drop weight since then. As of last Wednesday I was 232lbs with my original 2013 goal of 210-215lbs by the end of the year.

I am not sure its attainable but I am going to see what I can do to get close to it.

Back in the fight! Been off the reservation for too long now and have not made many good food choices, but I have had many good beers. of course that is part of the problem!

Starting December up a solid 8 pounds from my last race in September. Still not running due to PF, starting to hit the trainer a fair amount using Trainerroad, which I really like!

12-4 236

Goal for December 230

Good luck all, let's make it through the holidays with some success!

December starting weight 219.

12/4/13 218
PF seems to be controllable. Started wearing a sock from Features (almost daily). Also, been hitting the chiro 2 to 3 times a week. Stretching it out two to three times a day. Icing it after hard use. Ran a mile last night and it feel good today. Back is better, much better, but giving a week before I say it is better. Spun on the trainer last night. Going to workout again tonight.

No I use their virtual power, I have a wahoo speed and cadence sensor, using a USB ant+ stick it detects the speed and cadence, you tell it what trainer and resistance setting and it determines power. Probably not nearly as accurate, but a hell of a lot cheaper than a power meter. At least now I have some clue to what I am doing as opposed to just getting on and pedaling until I pass out from boredom.

I ended up being MIA all of last month due to being crazy busy with renovations to my new place. It still needs a lot of work, but it's at least somewhat livable at this point and the scale is finally unpacked, so I'd like to jump back in! The good news is that I finally got a chance to weight myself yesterday for the first time in a month and I'm pretty much where I was at the end of October - 132 lbs. I suppose my main goal for December is to not gain anything, then my ultimate goal is to finally get it down to 130. We'll see!

Keep up the good work everyone!
