Hey Friends, 

So, I have been running to the same playlist for over 4 months now and am getting quite bored of it. I do have Pandora, but it can be so unpredictable that I really like a set playlist to work out to. I have a good warm up song and then a fun playlist of songs that keep my cadence up for a bit, then I bring it down for the last bit of my run and cool down. 

My current list  starts with " No Church in the Wild" for warm up and i have "Boogie Wonderland", "Don't Stop Until You Get Enough","Ray of Light" , "Woke Up As Your Friend" in addition to some other great beats that keep me running on pace. I then go to "Battle Scars, and "Marvin Gay and Chardonnay" for the cool down. 

 

So my question to you is.. What is the best song on your playlist that really gets you going? If you have a warm up/cool down song include that as well.

 

I would really love to compile a new playlist with your suggestions and have a BT playlist.

I'd have to go with LaGrange by ZZ Top...it's worth a few extra watts when I'm on the trainer.

Oooh, good thread. Pumpin Blood by NONONO is a bit pop-ish but has a great tempo and Scandinavian Girls is another favorite on my playlist. It makes me want to run faster- always a good thing.

Duality by Slipknot and Redneck by Lamb of God. Redneck is pretty much hardcore metal but if that doesn't carry you through your toughest interval, nothing will.

Nice call on Anberlin, definitely one of my favorites. One of the best things I've ever done for my endurance training is subscribe to spotify! You make these huge playlists from a database of just about every and any music you can think of. You can also look up related artists and discover new ones. Check it if you get a chance. I think it's like $10/month and I sync to my iphone so music wherever I go.

My playlist? A surprisingly large (shameful, really) amount of Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, and Rhianna.

anything by Rhino Bucket (an AC/DC knockoff, but in a good way) (and with songs like Pain, Get Used to It, and the Hard Grind, appropriate for most workouts)

On Pandora, spend some time liking and disliking songs, and the playlist gets much better over time.

This song was on the radio one day in the van and my 5 year old daughter says "What? The silly cup holders!?" My son and I got so tickled and now that is all I can think about every time I hear that song .

Not sure about a favorite, but metal for me. Not for everyone, but here are some options to pick from if you want to experiment. Its hard for me to pick just one song from any of these bands.
