This sounds like good criteria for me! I don't know the area so I'm up for whatever.

Cool. Let's go to Redmond's again: http://redmondsgrill.com/

It opens early, so that is good.

Again, feel free to join me for a cool down post race.

I like.  I am a creature of habit and if it was good the first time, there's a better than not chance it will be good again.  This is one of my highlights of the year.  Can't wait.

I got 15 slow miles in the 16th & now have a raging flare up of knee tendonitis. I'll dns this one, let the knee heal up while getting some pool laps in and tending to a business I started recently. If I get a break in the routine I'll try to meet up with you in Redmond. I would enjoy meeting those I haven't and seeing those I have!

Good news--I had fluid drained from my knee and some lubricating meds injected into both knees on Thursday....as a result, they are feeling 100%.  I will be running the LS half.  Not racing, but running.    Hitting the East Lake Samm  trail today for a final long run.  I did just over ten on Sunday, that will likely be my longest run...oh well....muscle memory, right?  Odds are I will be working packet pickup on Friday if anyone is around--please say hello!

Good luck to everyone racing tomorrow. Sorry I won't make the race this year. Finals and term paper are due shortly. Hope the weather holds out and everyone has a fast race.

See you at the next race

I am running Boston in April and Ironman Lake Placid is in July. I have been told that it is ambitious to think about doing an IM so close to a marathon due to the recovery time. Any suggestions?

The first time I ventured into the deep murky green lake and could not see the bottom my muscles tensed and my imagined fears surfaced. What exactly lies beneath?

This program should be used for an athlete whose goal is to run a marathon in the 1:30-2:30 range and has a good running base in the past 8-12 weeks.

I will assume you have not run consistently more than 6 miles and have never completed a half-marathon. I believe running your first half-marathon is a big task which requires dedication and work.

My training was taking off. I had never felt stronger. I was making bigger strides than I ever had. I was stronger and faster than I had imagined myself ever being.
