Since we all love challenges, how about we 'organize' the first BT Jingle Bell run? Doesn't matter where you are, what the weather may be or how far you'll run, let's get a show of hands of folks who will be running on Xmas and for how long. Perhaps a bit of solidarity among us will help keep everybody motivated for a solid training run. And of course, we'll need some follow-up afterwards to see how we all did against our plans.

I'm hoping to get outside on Christmas Day for 10 miles. If I'm on the dreadmill...probably 7 miles.

Who else is in?

I normally do a longish run on Christmas as I like to be good and hungry for dinner and pumpkin pie, plus enjoy everyone's lights. (It's usually so gloomy in Oregon that they're on in daytime, too.) Exactly how long will depend on weather (if very icy, maybe zero!) and how some niggles I'm trying to resolve are doing. If physically possible, will definitely run, probably 10-ish miles at most.

I’ll be running on Christmas day, anywhere from 3-5 miles. I hope to be wearing my new runner’s metronome. Santa knows I've been good.

I'm in.
I have lots of cooking to do but i'll find some time early morning. I'll try a 1hour long run outdoor or indoor depending on weather.

I'll be running Christmas day -- not sure how long, but somewhere in the 3 - 6 mile range most likely.

I have 3-4 easy on the skedj, so I'm in.  Right after we do presents in the morning (and build a fire - as it will be nice and toasty to return to).

Plus, with family coming over to our house in the afternoon, it's best to get a dose of my favorite mood elevator - exercise!

Probably followed up by my second favorite - something with a lime in it.

Matt

I will be running from gate to gate on a WAY too short of a layover - will that count?

definitely running, probably 2.5 mile range? (a mid length for me). Kind of looking forward to the quiet already after the craziness that I am sure the morning will be!

I'm in!  I'll be visiting my dad and step mom--both are very active so I know I'll be doing a run!  Hopefully I'll run around 6-8 miles.

I'm in! No big family obligations on X-mas day so I should be able to get away for a nice quiet run. Will be fun to see how little traffic and quiet the streets are.

I'm in. I haven't run much this fall/winter, I think at this point 5 miles would be a challenge. That being said, I'm in for 5.

Kids usually get up early on Christmas morning, so will take the dog out for 5 -6 miles after the presents are opened.

Absolutely, but you got to wear that sweater with the snowmen on it.

I will almost certainly be running Christmas day.  I'll guess in the 35-45 min range.

I'm in. I'm not celebrating Christmas that day cause I'm working. I'll probably do 4-6 miles after work.

Ok, done my HM!

Was 22 degrees out this morning. Of the 18 folks that showed up, 4 ran the HM.

# 202 is me.

This was run in Bagram, Afghanistan.

DTW Airport gate A3 to C37 in 21:10. Our flight got in early so not really a run, more of a saunter, actually. Ah, well - I still counting it!

The boat was being tossed around. Someone noted that there were whitecaps on the waves. Another guy said, “This is going to be challenging.” I began to wonder what he meant by 'challenging'.
