Just got a new iPhone 5s and looking for some good apps. They don't have to be training related.
I just got Pages, Numbers, BT and Road ID.
Does Maps work good for navigation or is there a better one out there?

Apple maps suck, download the Google maps app.

Little trick. If you tell Siri you want directions "via transit" she will open the appstore and then there is one click to get the route in google maps instead of the worthless apple maps. You just have to remember to change it back to driving when it opens.

Not ideal, but unfortunately that is the only option to use Siri and get google directions. Thanks apple...

I have several.  The two that I like that are tri related are Runtastic and Runtastic Road Bike.   The techno geek in me like Flybys, Planets, and NASA APOD.

So far, I'm really liking 'sleep cycle.' It's an app that tracks your sleeping patterns every night...and tracks how often you wake, when you're in REM...it's pretty cool.

My Fitness Pal is great for tracking your calories and exercise. It has a huge library of food that you can search. I've almost never come across something that it doesn't have in its database. It even has nutritional info for prepared foods from major restaurant chains.

I love IMDB-- great for looking up movie and tv info.

Weather Channel app

Definitlely activate your find my phone app.

I really like the Nike running app a lot.

I'm not sure if these are my favorites, but I do love ZooBorns and QuizUp. QuizUp is just a really fun trivia game (100s of categories) and ZooBorns gets uploaded daily with pics of baby animals born in zoos around the world. So cute.

The typical social media apps (Facebook, Twitter and Instrgram) probably get the most use on my phone.

I agree with BT (of course) RunKeeper and SmartAlarm. I also use Strava, IronTrac and Starbucks. I also use OurGroceries for my meal planning/grocery list

I guess they are technically apps, but more games.  I LOVE Clash of Clans and Candy Crush and The Room (and it's sequel).  Plants vs Zombies too.

The wife and I have a couple apps for her specific needs, so nothing that I could suggest other than the games...

LOL, Nothing that exciting.

There is a teleprompter app to practice and capture hosting/anchor spots.

I know it was app of the year, but I recently downloaded DuoLingo to brush up on my Spanish and to get a little bit of Portuguese (one of my biggest clients is in Brazil, and Google Translate is rubbish!). It's a super super fun app, really well designed, and it's FREE. You can learn Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese. It was also designed in Pittsburgh, so I have to like it. It's learning disguised as games, but it can apply to adults or kids.

My favorite app is Evernote. Best app I've seen so far. I put all my notes in it, school stuff... It's sync with my laptop and tablet. I use the free version and it is more than enough.

Wish there was a phone app for 'finding' one's phone when it goes MIA. Sometimes, I have my ringer turned off, so calling it from a land line doesn't work. haha :/

I went into the pool area (as this was a pool swim) and got body marked. That's when it hit me that I was there to race - this was not a clinic.
