Hi,

To be total honest those plans volume and intensity look pretty close to me. Maybe I am missing something. The BT plans at least seams to have multiple workouts in one day. Then again I didn’t go thru each day.

What do you consider a "good time”?

Your swim and run time are Ok, but what is your bike?

The trinewbies and BT plan are close, trinewbies seems a bit more easy to folow.
The other is really different, with much less volume at the start and sessions diferents after.
In bike, I did 1h45 last time, but it was a mountain road.

A good time for me is around 4h30-5h. It is a bit optimistic I think.

Both three plans will permit me to end the race in good condition, and less than 6h ?

Using a high-volume schedule for many months is not the best tactic. Build speed and skill several months out, and then transition to a high-volume IM plan.

This plan is an advanced plan in terms of volume and intensity and appropriate for someone who is looking to go under 5:00 and as fast as 4:30. There isn’t a lot of fluff in the plan.

I just had a couple of problems, I could count the number of triathlons I had contested at zero. Secondly, I could count on one hand the number of times I had been swimming in the last 17 years.

The schedule consists of at least 3 workouts per week in each sport, 2 days of strength training and core work too. Most weeks have 4 days of cycling. The maximum volume is 14 hours in week 5.

This half Ironman plan covers many weeks of challenging, but attainable training for someone who has some endurance experience, and ideally some Olympic distance races within the past season.
