1/01/2013: 261.4

1/01/2014: 210.2
1/08/2014: 210.6
1/15/2014: 207.8
1/22/2014: 206.2
1/29/2014: 201.4
1/31/2014: 198.2

Total loss this month: -12.0

Finally below 200 lbs!

I think my Tour of Sufferlandria TSS scores have probably taken a huge beating as a result of weight loss this week. But my priority is getting down to race weight (170-180) for Ironman Coeur d'Alene.

WOW, you are incredible. Way to get in under 200 by months end but maybe more impressive is your 13 month journey, great job!

Oops, forgot to post my starting weight.

Jan. 1- 232.8

Jan goal, 222.8

Jan. 9- 229.8

Jan. 15- 227.3 Happy with that, long road ahead!

Jan. 22- 224.2 !!!!!

Very happy with this week, lots of hard work and resisting temptation, need another solid week to hit my goal and close out the month strong!

Jan. 29- 223.1 Down 1.1

Not a good eating weekend and start to week, in the middle of another Arctic Blast and had trouble staying on track

Jan. 31- 219.1 Ended the month down 13.7, very happy with that but that was the easy weight. The next 10 are very doable but way more work then it gets really tough for me. Looking back haven't been sub 200 since Sept 22, 2007 the day of my first IM

With the coming of the New Year, athletes commonly think about making nutrition resolutions. Good thing, given only 3 to 4% of Americans follow all of the established Dietary Guidelines.

To help implement your resolutions (or those of your friends and family members), I recommend the following books, most of which are written by nutrition experts: registered dietitians (RD).
