I am not a morning person. I am trying to get fitter. Somehow I can't make those two match! But I did get up at the buttcrack o' stupid to swim today.

Hot fit fast AND photogenic!

Plus, I highly approve of pinkpurpleblue shoes with greenyellow kit.

Haha. More color/neon is better, right?

Sigh....I have searched all pics of myself on the computer, and cannot locate a single one where I' not

a. Wearing a bike helmet]
b. Looking stupid OR (usually)
c. Both a and b

I did have one very funny picture of me at a staff party, dressed in a green and orange Lao festival outlet, with a rose in my teeth, firing a plastic toy gun at the camera, but it's not in a normal format (one of those party photo machines) and I have no idea where it is now! No way am I posting anything in a swimsuit. Guess I will leave it to everyone's imagination for now!

You look delicious, as usual.

Is it ever not windy in Kansas?  I remember spending a few months there and the wind was blowing people off motorcycles in Witchita....

How is the cycling/tri scene in Witchita??? I feel like I'm going to end up living there soon.

Very, very, veryVERYvery rarely is it below a 15mph winds (currently at 20mph sustained). I feel like a "wind whiner" because I note it all the time in my training logs, but when other folks think 13mph or 15mph is "windy" that's just crazy talk to me. We have about 3 or 4 days a year when it's nice temps (not 0 degrees and not 100 degrees) and NOT windy. Really makes you appreciate those I guess

The tri community in Wichita is okay. There's a great local tri club I used to do things with and they put on the longest-standing race around here. There have been a lot more races popping up which makes it nice not to have to drive to KC for that. We don't have bike lanes or bike paths so you just have to ride on the roads outside of the city - which I love.

Okay, finally a photo of me NOT in a bike helmet. (I don't even bike that much, or as much as I should. No idea why almost all my photos are in bike helmets.) Might still be looking stupid, but at least I'm looking stupid next to Macca. (Hint--I'm not the blonde.) ETA At awards dinner for Bintan Oly in Indonesia on Saturday. He was also at Laguna Lang Co Tri in March. Apparently he's now based in Phuket, Thailand at a training center there (Thanyapura).

It took me 4 MONTHS to get this move. Everyone else around me got it after a couple of tries. Me? 4 MONTHS. I finally got over, on my own, the other night. I was elated!

As you can see, my feet are securely locked into the silks, and they are going behind my back. This one is actually a very secure move.

Whereas this move makes me a little nervous. It's call "the fang". Getting into it is a little nerve racking! Hard to explain unless you see the video.
