Subject: 910x heart rate monitor
I just got a 910x for Christmas and am still learning how to use it. For the life of me, I cannot get the heart rate monitor to work. The directions basically say to put the monitor on the strap and then put the strap on your body and bring the watch within 3m of the strap. Done and nothing. So, I checked the troubleshooting and it says if it isn't reading you should warm up for 5-10 minutes or tighten the strap. I've done both of those, including tightening the strap to a point where I'm pretty sure it is sitting in the intercostal space and nothing.

It is brand new, so I doubt it is the battery. Anyone have this problem, and how did you fix it?

Thanks!

did you wet the three spots like it says? also, there is a way to make sure the watch knows to pair with it. Instructions are on Garmin's website.

I didn't click the link above but you can tell the watch to look for a new device.

I recall having to "pair" the HRM to the watch first time I used it, then it just autodetects after that.

Also, check out this site when you have a few mintues and want some 910 tips/ideas/info
