Event warmup:

This is the story of a 7 time IM finisher half assing his way through training leading up to IM #8.
Swim
  • 1h 29m 1s
  • 4156 yards
  • 02m 08s / 100 yards
Comments:

Didn't seat myself well, got whupped up on more than any other IM. Second lap was better but the damage was done.

Also having a bit of anxiety at the beginning of the swim. Most likely due to the lack of training.....
Transition 1
  • 09m 51s
Comments:

No idea what the hell happened there. The tent setup sucked but really, almost 10 minutes? Ass
Bike
  • 6h 05m 57s
  • 112 miles
  • 18.36 mile/hr
Comments:

Didn't train well leading up to the race so I just chilled like a mofo on the bike and it shows.
Transition 2
  • 06m 42s
Comments:

I was tired, I went slow.
Run
  • 4h 57m 44s
  • 26.2 miles
  • 11m 22s  min/mile
Comments:

Knew it was going to be a long painful run and it was. But I did hit my sub 5 hr goal. Not that sub 5 should be a goal for me. Train????
Post race
Warm down:

Grabbed my stuff and walked back to the hotel.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Didn't train.

Event comments:

I will train for my races next year.....
