Good Monday everyone,

Rest day for me as well but because I was lazy yesterday, i might go for a quick swim after work.

60km bike training. I scouted the course i have to do in July for my first triathlon. I wanted to have an idea. 1 lap is 13,5km and the race is 3 laps. The course is a few kilometers away from my home. I did 4 laps, averaging a 29,4km/h pace. Happy with that but went a bit too deep. Legs feel sore so no extra swim training this evening.

Good afternoon all

35 minutes in the pool first exercise in a whole week due to round #2 with the cold virus, still pretty weak so it was a nice easy swim of only a 1000M.

Have a good day everyone

Enjoy your off day! I could use one, at least from school. Thank goodness for Tet next week. Short swim today as had to run an errand downtown first. 2300m of swimming in seriously COLD pool. Five seconds faster/100m than usual, even on the pull stuff, with minimal rest, for 18 X 100m just because I was f..... COLD! It is 61 this morning--that is glacial for Saigon; my tropical cats have been huddling against me for warmth all night!

I went into the pool area (as this was a pool swim) and got body marked. That's when it hit me that I was there to race - this was not a clinic.

I have been able to swim 200-300 yards without stopping for the past couple of weeks, but this morning I couldn’t swim more than 50. Could not eating make a big differance?

This is not an easy task, especially for the “9-to-5er” with family. But you can do it – all without sacrificing your marriage, job or family.

Once you caught your breath, it occurred to you that finishing even a short triathlon might be harder than you thought. After a few "laps" you thought, "I can't believe I'm so out of shape."
