Do you think i should swim with a sore hip god knows what i have done to it but it hurts , i have a small triathlon race coming up but i may have to pull out of it as i dont want to make it worse

Would swimming effect it ?

i tried for a while. it doesn't feel good at all. hip flexors get used a lot in swimming so if you have a sore hip i'd lay off the activities for a while and let it get better.

in the meantime look up some good hip and IT band stretches.  most likely the discomfort is from tightness in this area.  i actually fixed my hip problems by using a foam roller on my lower back.

I am experiencing hip flexor pain. I hurt it two weeks ago during a race and it's bothered me ever since. Do you have suggestions on how to prevent problems or how to cure it?

I decided that, after having a new hip put in 11 months ago, I needed a new lifestyle. Just wondering if there's anything that I should know about-especially for the running and biking.

During a "power yoga" session I noticed pain with hip adduction/internal rotation. Running and biking don't seem to bother it, as long as I don't push it. I still have achy pain with walking.

I have noticed an occasional pain in my left hip flexor. The pain is most noticeable when running uphill. Is there a way to fix the problem without taking time off from training?

Near the end of one of my long runs, I noticed my left hip aching. There was a slight pop with each step. The hip was sore for 2 days after the run.

Apparently I have tendonitis in my left shoulder and will start PT next week. Are there drills/ strokes that I can do that won't keep my shoulder from healing?
