Selling my tri bike so I can upgrade. It is in excellent to like-new condition. Used since December 2011 and put a total of 2000 miles on it. More than half of those miles are indoor trainer miles. I've had no accidents while I used it and the previous owner put less than 500 miles on the bike. I kept up with the maintenance as well and have no problems shifting or gears slipping at all. It has an Adamo Road saddle installed right now and Shimano pedals I'd like to keep. I'll replace the saddle with a red Adamo Racing saddle that was used by the previous owner for about 1.5 years and the padding and overall shape is really good. Only a slight blemish on the front nose which you can see in the pics attached/linked. The bike is stock minus the cassette being a Shimano (105) 11-28T which was installed by previous owner at my request. Tires are Conti UltraRace with alota miles left on them. Local buyers can buy the bike for $1400. I'm located in Burbank, CA. I can be emailed at [email protected] Bike info: http://www.quintanarootri.com/_bike.asp?content=CD0.1%20UltegraBike pics (rear tire is my trainer tire and black electrical tape on top tube is there for protection): Image and video hosting by TinyPic Image and video hosting by TinyPic Image and video hosting by TinyPic Image and video hosting by TinyPic Image and video hosting by TinyPic Image and video hosting by TinyPic Image and video hosting by TinyPic Adamo Racing saddle pics: Image and video hosting by TinyPic Image and video hosting by TinyPic Image and video hosting by TinyPic Image and video hosting by TinyPic

just out of curiosity, because I have the same bike and swear it's fastest thing I've ever ridden, what are you 'upgrading' to? Lots would consider the CD01 *the* upgrade.

hi - how tall are you? I want to get a sense if this is the right size for me. I live on the east coast so would need shipping, how much would it cost to get it shipped? unless the bike is still available in feb 2015 when I'm in the LA area.

Hi Greg,

I'm 5'6.5" and the bike was too narrow for me. I have a long reach and this bike was not the optimal size for me despite all the adjustments I made. To ship this bike from CA to east coast would cost about $100. The bike sold though. There is a nice new unused bike for sale in the classifieds forums here though. It is an entry level QR Kilo. Might wanna check that one out.

Thanks,
Roland

thanks for the reply Roland. I'm about the same height (5'7") and have shorter legs/longer torso (29.5" inseam), think that would be a similar fit then? im going to check around for that Kilo.

good luck with the new bike! what size bike are you going to?

A QR Illicito size M.

That QR Kilo might work out for you. Maybe even a Felt DA4. Don't guess too much though. Get your fit measurements. You want the bike to fit you, not the other way.

yeah fit is key. that's the quandary though.... if you buy from the bike shop, they fit you as part of the purchase. and the shop by me is great, my felt z85 road bike fits like a glove. they've adjusted it for me along the way at no cost as I bought my bike there. so might be that I am better off just waiting on some sales there to get something I can see and try before they fit me to it. think they charge about $200 to do the fit if I bought a bike in on my own. they carry several brands...

I was supposed to do a rev3 race next week and was going to check out the QR at the expo but got a nasty case of shingles so had to pull out.

i'll be in the LA/Palm Springs area next February and would love to find a race, be it a sprint or a run. unless the Stanley cup finals is the rangers//kings, I could try and sneak out there for a game and a few in-n-out burgers! bad for training but so delicious!
