January is just hours from being done, so time to report in.

Me, I'm been concentrating on running.  232 running miles in January, with lots of it on the trail, including a 50K run.

Just barely up from 227mi in December, so two solid months for me that I'm pretty happy about.  Being uninjured is even better.

I did some swimming, but not really focused on that right now.

So- how did everyone else tally up in their "depths of winter" month?

Fairly solid month for me but not as much swimming as I'd planned due to pool maintenance, holidays, work and personal commitments, and lots of kids' swim meets.

Swim: 7h8m36s (23,850m)
Bike 21h36m12s (and that did NOT include a bike tour) Lots of trainer rides so mileage doesn't make much sense
Run 13h49m32s

Really trying to focus on bike since I didn't last fall and I have a longer race coming up ("international distance" with 62 km bike leg).

Bike: 119,59km/5:00:23hs
Run: 73,08km/7:36:14hs

I've been demotivated and without a goal for a long time, but I've just signed up for a HIM in september so, now I'm back!

Swim 9h42 37500m 41250 yds
Bike 15h21 556 km 348 mi
Run 18h07 226 km 142 mi

Bike miles don't mean anything since they were on a trainer. Lots of hard intervals in there
Run is good since I am still in recovery from achilles problems but things are much better. I ran close to every day
Swim is good (for me) since I don't like swimming.

Feb is going to be a big month!

Swim         18h 15m          60550 yards

Bike           27h  04m         557.53 miles

Run             4h  08m         28.95 miles

Strength      3h 55m

Turned out to be a bike/swim focus since I was giving my calf a rest. Not the balance I would like but my biggest monthly swim and bike volume ever I think. Saw solid gains on the bike. Hard to say with the swim. Endurance has certainly improved but not sure speed has improved much. Hoping to see the run bump up steadily over the next month.

Good work everyone.

Run heavy month 'cuz I have a HM in 3 weeks. I know that I am neglecting my swimming at my own peril. Training for the April Oly will come with some pain in the pool.

Very frustrated with not being able to run.  Patellar tendonitis just isn't going away, even after two months of expensive physical therapy.

Swim: 21.83 hours. 68,450 yards.

Bike: 13.2 hours. 247 miles.

Strength: 7.67 hours.

Almost the exact same volume as December so pretty happy with the consistency.  Just can't wait to be running again!

Impressive totals, everyone!

Not a bad month, I am starting to ramp up for IM Training. I need to get to the pool more often.

January totals

SWIM: 5h 10m - 14400.00 Meters
BIKE: 15h 10m 59s - 220.84 Miles (over half of this while watching Netflix in the basement)
RUN: 16h 10m 05s - 112.04 Miles

I started off February with an 11.3 mile run in 4-6 inches of snow this morning. Hitting the pool this afternoon.

Swim: 9h 39m -- 34,350m

Bike: 21h 42m 44s -- all on the trainer

Run: 2h 03m 55s -- 12.77 mi

Fighting a bit of a foot/ankle injury this month kept me from running for four weeks.  Seems to be under control now, so hoping to keep it that way.  Swim was a little low due to some traveling and excessively cold temps (and freezing rain)....swim in an outdoor pool.  Happy with the bike and hope to keep building over the next couple months.

More bike than usual -- the trainer has been a godsend with how awful the weather has been. I swear I'll start swimming at some point.
