This is not a helpful post to the OP but I CAN NOT WAIT for Boulder 2015! I'm a CO native so I'm quite excited for this challange; I am however nervous about signing up in time too.

I didn't sign up this year, but I believe that it took a few days for the race to sell out. They also did a package deal and for about $1000, you got Boulder 70.3, Boulder Peak (Olympic Distance), and IM Boulder. I believe that went on sale a day or two before. Don't know if they'll offer that option again. I would guess that the race may sell out faster in 2015, but it will depend a lot on how well it goes. I'm going to volunteer this summer which will give me a chance to see what the race is like, and I'm hoping to do it in 2015.

"Package Deal" Same prices just pay for two races at once....cleaver wording for the term "package"

Um . . . the package was 3 races:

Boulder 70.3 (About $300)
Boulder Peak 5150 (About $150)
Ironman Boulder (About $700)

Essentially if you went this route, you got the Olympic distance event for free.

Bump*

Back to the original question. Does IRONMAN have a list of registration opening dates or is it typically 1 year before race date etc? Thanks,

Its typically the day after the previous years race - so IM Boulder registration will open the day after the 2014 race - if you are volunteering, then I think on-site opens earlier in the am than online

During the race there will be plenty of opportunities to exchange bottles, so I'm thinking about going with the aero bottle and Gatorade bottle and fill up as necessary. What should I do?

It was literally seconds after I started swimming that I felt the tightness in my chest. I couldn’t get a deep breath in due to the tightness of my wetsuit. I was being strangled by my wetsuit...

The Boulder Peak bike course is legendary. It is, literally and named as such, one of the toughest bike legs in the country.
