Does anyone have hotel recommendations for Wildflower? I know lots of people camp, but I am also interested in checking out the hotel options? I am racing the half on Saturday. Thanks!

Check the hotels in Paso Robles. It's not too far and in my opinion much nicer to sleep in a warm bed than a warm sleeping bag.
I have stayed at a little place called Melody Ranch several times. It is very small and old but affordable.

As mentioned, Paso Robles will be your best bet for hotels for Wildflower. One thing to keep in mind is that they close the road into the lake to traffic while the races are going so you'll need to drive in early in the morning and wait until 5-6pm in the evening to drive out. Fortunately there is a great festival with music, food, etc. to enjoy after you finish your race!

Good information to know. I guess I should also plan on staying the night on Saturday instead of making the drive back to San Diego after the race.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn PR for last year's Oly.  That was actually very nice as it was a very cold night, and the ly has a late start.    Yes, note the road closure tmes, for the half it's pretty early.  Some people find a place to park outside the park and ride in (then you have to ride out after the race... the hill out of transition to the parking lot is bad enough.....)

I do know people that drove home to LA after, that seems miserable to me.  But as a PSA, whether the night of or morning after, make a stop or two during the drive to get the blood flowing in the legs.  You can get a lot of micro damage and dehydration from that race, and you really need to take care afterwards to prevent DVTs....  just my 02
