Subject: RE: Wildflower - hotels? We stayed at the Hampton Inn PR for last year's Oly. That was actually very nice as it was a very cold night, and the ly has a late start. Yes, note the road closure tmes, for the half it's pretty early. Some people find a place to park outside the park and ride in (then you have to ride out after the race... the hill out of transition to the parking lot is bad enough.....) I do know people that drove home to LA after, that seems miserable to me. But as a PSA, whether the night of or morning after, make a stop or two during the drive to get the blood flowing in the legs. You can get a lot of micro damage and dehydration from that race, and you really need to take care afterwards to prevent DVTs.... just my 02 |
