I have a meticulously maintained Slice 5 (Team Liquigas colorway). 54 CM, 105 grouppo. Profile Ozero base bar, Adamo TT saddle, mostly trainer miles. I have not been racing tris, more into fast group rides lately. I would like $1300. I would prefer local pick up (CT/New England) but would ship on your dime.

Hey,

I'm looking for an entry level tri bike as an upgrade form my road bike. I have a 2001 Trk 1000 Aluminum bike, with ultegra FD/RD and sora (old 105) shifters- i prefer the thumb shifter to the double finger. I'd be willing to trade my bike + cash for your Slice 5. Road bike is 56cm and well-maintained, never left outside or ridden in rain. I can include my race wheels, Velocity Spartacus Pros. Let me know what you think.

Michael.

Thank you for the offer but I think I am looking for a more equitable trade bike wise. Keep poking around though, there are plenty of great deals on gently used entry level tri bikes to be found. BTW, nice wheel set!

Absolutely understandable! Just hoping you were looking to downgrade and sit back for awhile.

I will continue to browse here and CL-- always looking!

Hey... I read your ad and was wondering if I could help. I have some road bike options that might work for you. Here's a list:

2013 LiteSpeed C3 (med., unused, just built, aero road style) - pics here: http://s1164.photobucket.com/user/triguy44/library/2013%20LiteSpeed%20C3

2011 Cervelo R3 (54cm, shows unused, demo) - pics here: http://s1164.photobucket.com/user/triguy44/library/2011%20Cervelo%20R3

I have some other options too, but at a higher price point. Not sure if you have flexibility to do trade plus cash.

Thanks.

brian

Brian- I am looking to do a straight up swap, no cash involved. Do you have any 56 cm options that would seem equitable for my bike? Bikes in your last post look incredible but wife would kill me if I spent any more than I have already!

The triathlon bike vs. road bike quandary. Before you even ask the road bike vs. tri bike question, you should have a couple sprint triathlons or duathlons under your belt.
