Comments:

Best performance since Long Beach in 2010 and set a new PR. Missed a BQ by 1:45, but otherwise a good race. Had BQ going through mile 21, but really hit the wall on the hill in the VA grounds there...pace never really recovered after that.

Event comments:

Seventh time doing LA. Logistics pretty much the same every year now, although there were some increased security measures this year (post-Boston) that created problems for me getting to the post-race hospitality suite for the charity I ran for this year.

Good work on what I gather turned into a pretty warm day for marathoning. Different weather, and the BQ would probably have been yours.

Agree on the weather, it was warm and very dry, and from my neighborhood looks like you had a tailwind the whole way.   Great job and congrats on the PR

I signed up for Ironman Frankfurt, next year July - and I am very excited about it. I originally planned to run my first Marathon in the middle of September, but am not sure if this is wise.

After the Marine Corps Marathon, I started developing left lower/lateral leg pain late in my marathon training and pushed through it.
