You actually look forward to Mondays because it is your "Rest day" and you can sleep in to 7:30 AM.

you and other men are discussing calories consumed and calories burned in a given meal or workout

When a rest day consists of a 90 minute recovery ride and a core workout.

On Monday morning folks ask you what that faint magic-marker number is on your arm.

The check engine light in your car has been on for a week and you cannot find the time to bring it in, but the moment your bike sounds or feels 'different' you bring it in for a check up.

your most commonly used drinking cup is your bike water bottles.

but history has tought me to put the utter butter and toothpaste/sunscreen/hair gel in a different drawer. hahaha

I find that a well placed piece of black tape covers the light just perfect.

I emailed my coach the other day when I skipped my morning swim.....

"I just couldn't get up this morning so I slept in until 5:30"

Just one of the many times when I realized that I may have a problem.

Way more than my first car. Not the one I have now, fortunately.

On business and holiday travels you pick your hotel based on pool size - AND you email and check with the potential hotels before making a booking.

Your circle of friends has changed to the point where nearly every social occasion includes s discussion of urinating in or on some piece of gear. You own more spandex items for triathlon than dress shirts for work.

It's always fun to laugh at ourselves and the funny/odd and downright starange things we do....like leaving the house for work wearing jammers and dress shoes because you will need the dress shoes for work after your swim. Or carrying two gym bags out the door on days when you plan to swim in the morning and run at lunch.

I find empty Gu packages in my car, clothes, bags, next to my bed,...

Just about everywhere.

I postpone my birthday festivities (except for cake and presents) to coincide with my rest day because I had to swim in the AM and run tonight (cake after) and have to get up early before work tomorrow to get in a bike ride with a brick run tomorrow.

When I was a kid, my family had a car that had the "Service Engine Soon" light always on. He just slid the little plastic cover over so instead the light showed "Resume Cruise". Problem solved.

- you and the infant in the family have shared "diaper cream" to try to relieve saddle rash (yes, I did this and it worked)
- you wear spandex/spanx of some form every day, at some point
- you become frustrated with your spouse because she wants to "stay up until all hours" doing things like watching the 10 0'clock news
- 75% of your evenings are planned around getting the kids to bed, so you can be in bed by 9:30
