Somehow I've managed to break the spoke magnet holder for my Garmin GSC-10. Lucikily I discovered this in the basement while starting a trainer ride and when speed didn't show up I saw the spoke magnet had slid down to the rim. The holder was still on it but it had cracked down the middle. Maybe I broke it while brining the bike from the car carrier to the basement.

Anyhow has anyone replaced this item?

I called Garmin support, 30-35 minute wait so I hung up. Maybe there's a more practical sollution out there. I do work only 15 minutes away from their HQ here in Kansas so I could drive over (they have a walk-in service desk). Not sure if they "stock" thiat item there though.

If you can't find it on the shelf at your LBS, then order it here from Amazon.com.

Thanks Chris,

I remember seeing that when I was shopping for the sensor and just now remembered thinking "I should just buy this replacement kit now, I'll probably need it later". Of course I didn't do it.....

Reece, I have several of these if you need one, but yes Garmin walk in center does have them.

Cool, thanks Trey. I would guess another magnet would work as well, say if the LBS didn't sell the Garmin GSC but sold another brand like Mavic etc. I have an issue with my 305 GPS watch so I need to visit them anyhow.

Yeah, any magnet will work, I used to use a rare earth magnet on the pedal spindle to record cadence. Let me know if you want one of the ones I have, I am off today so I can meet up to get it to you

I'm curious about the 'don't increase your run by more than 10% per week' rule. Is there a minimum mileage under which this doesn't apply?

How should I go about training for the marathon while also building base in the other two events? Doing this seems like it's causing me to break the 10% rule in running.

Yes, the Dual is a little heavier than Cervèlo’s high end counterparts. But…the price is within reach of the masses and it still incorporates all of the design features that make a Cervèlo special.
