Can't believe no one has started the annual speculation thread, so here goes.
1. Is the water temp going to be warmer than last year's 52 degree chiller?
2. How many corner buoys are going to float away this year?
3. Have they resurfaced Hwy 53 yet?

Counting down the days, looking forward to a good race!

The Marina's website shows the current water temp at 60*...not too sure about that. I would suspect it will be as cold as last year, hopefully minus the wind and chop.

Nice! Might warm up a little more too by the weekend. Looks like pretty good weather for this one.

Don't even know how that's possible. Last year's winter was much warmer than this year's and the water was 60, or maybe even lower, last year.

Last year the RD announced water temp as 49 at packet pickup and at 54 on race morning. With the overnight lows between the two, there is no way the water temp went up 5 degrees overnight. I think the water was closer to 51 or 52 on race morning.

Just called the Marina. It's 68.5 and they anticipate it will rise from now until tomorrow/Sunday.

My first triathlon was at age 56. At first I was just the cameraman at my daughter's first triathlon, then I am doing the races that she has done.

I just had a couple of problems, I could count the number of triathlons I had contested at zero. Secondly, I could count on one hand the number of times I had been swimming in the last 17 years.
