1st Ultra Done!

Member  242   Co Louth, Ireland |  Subject: 1st Ultra Done!Completed my first ultra last weekend - a 51km trail race across some mountains here in Ireland. Finished in 6hrs 50 - it was one of toughest (if not the toughtest!) things I've ever done. As per the norm here in Ireland we had all seasons in one race - sun, gales, hail, snow & rain! Had bad calf cramps for the last 20km so really suffered adn added at least 30mins to what I had thought I'd do based on training. Had thought about a 50mile race in June but really not sure now based on how tough this one felt! |
