Subject: Place to run near CDG airport in Paris
I'm travelling in France on business, and my last night here I'll be staying in a hotel right at the Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris to make things a bit easier for the flight. My flight deosn't leave until 11:30, and I'm an early riser, so I'd like to get a run in before I leave. The area right around my hotel is probably not safe for running, but can someone recommend somewhere to run within reasonable driving distance (15 min. or less)? Thanks

ETA: I might consider re-booking at a hotel in a more running friendly area if that makes sense as I'll have my rental car up until the day I leave. And I don't do treadmills so lets just say that's not an option.

Well, according to Google Maps there is a HUGE park right by the airport.  I'd worry most about getting lost.   Why is running by the hotel unsafe?

The only thing I would recommend avoiding is going into the city on the train thinking you'll go in/out quick and run somewhere interesting.  The train to CDG is a crowded nightmare in the morning.

The hotel is right at the airport on the loop around the terminals, and this area has lots of traffic and no sidewalks. So that's for sure a no go for me. I noticed the park as well, and some small towns nearby, one looks like it has a track. 32 loops of the track would not be ideal but still better than a treadmill. Thanks

I got stuck with a long layover at CDG, so ended up taking 45-60 minute train ride into Paris.

Honestly, just to say you did it (unless you well be in Paris anyway), I would take the train in, run along the Seine, then hop on the train back...  It would be worth it just to say you did it.  How often can you run along the Seine or under the Eifel Tower?

Enjoy!  Paris and Rome are my too favorite cities over there so far.
